Imagine, unironically believing Jim Davis is a "pro" as an artist. Sure, he created one of the most recognizable characters in media but in comparison to you and other horror artists in general, he doesn't hold a candle. Horror artists have amazing art styles that exaggerate various features which make the artwork pop and look unique. Garfield is bland in design comparison. Then again, it's a completely different kind of art, one that's not supposed to be extremely detailed. However, this guy needs to have a more open view of things.

Ah thanks a lot!! Yeah I love drawing to explore and exaggerate the expressions of a character...if I had to draw like Garfield (who has like 6 poses max) I would die of sheer bordom ahha. So it cracked me up that his advice was to aspire to "Garfield" art level XD haha thats nuts!
